A state bar of Michigan Association member and active member of the metro Detroit Chaldean community. Mr. Elia received his Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Wayne State University (2008) and his Juris Doctor from The University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (2011). Mr. Elia’s focused practice has resulted in the recovery of millions of dollars for his clients in unpaid No Fault benefits and injury settlements to auto accident victims throughout the state of Michigan. As a plaintiff’s attorney, Mr. Ponto represents accident injury victims. He is devoted to representing clients against negligent parties, and pursuing UNPAID claims (payouts) from insurance companies. Mr. Ponto’s goal is to recover what was taken from victims be it lost wages, medical bills, or the ability to lead a normal life by way of money damages.
Attorney David Klein attended the James Madison School of Political Science at Michigan State University where he graduated with a degree in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy in 2009. David then attended Wayne State University and graduated with his Juris Doctor in 2012. He has specialized entirely in First and Third Party No-Fault Auto Injury since passing the bar in November 2012, and was previously employed at GEICO Indemnity Company where he gained valuable experience working on the defense side. David has returned to the plaintiff's side where he continues to zealously advocate for medical providers and clients alike. In his free time, David enjoys traveling internationally, playing basketball and enjoying a good beer while watching a sports game.
Attorney Kevin Kashat is both a member of the State Bar of Michigan and a lifelong resident of Metro Detroit. Mr. Kashat earned his Bachelor's degree from Wayne State University and subsequently earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Kashat interned at the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, Forfeiture Division and took part in the law school's criminal trial clinic where he represented indigent defendants charged with a multitude of misdemeanors. He also received the book award for having the highest grade in his Litigation Technology course.
Mr. Kashat began clerking at the Law Firm of Elia & Ponto in early 2013 and has been exposed to personal injury cases ever since. After graduating from law school, Mr. Kashat passed the Michigan Bar Examination and began representing injured individuals almost immediately. Mr. Kashat takes pride in the close detail he pays every file and the even closer relationship he shares with his clients.
Attorney Robert N. Heston represents plaintiffs in all matters of litigation including insurance coverage, general negligence, wrongful death, premises liability, commercial carrier, product liability, third party, first party, UIM/UM medical malpractice, wrongful death, catastrophic claims and police abuse/misconduct matters in both State and Federal Court. Mr. Heston's experience involves high exposure cases involving death and serious injury. Mr. Heston was a member of a National Trial Team and has been admitted into several jurisdictions in Florida, Texas, Massachusetts and California for litigation of trials. He also has extensive experience monitoring high exposure cases on behalf of excess insurance carriers. Mr. Heston is a member of the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. He is also licensed to practice in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Heston graduated from Wayne State University, earning a scholarship in the area of Legal Studies before enrolling at Wayne State University Law School. While in law school, Mr. Heston had an opportunity to clerk at the Oakland County Circuit Court for Chief Judge Nanci Grant and the Honorable Robert Templin.
Attorney Alexander (Alex) Brown attended the College of Business Administration at Central Michigan University where he graduated with a degree in general management in 2010. Mr. Brown then attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he graduated Magma Cum Laude in 2015. While at UDM, Mr. Brown completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Marianne O. Battani of the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan. He was also member of UDM’s Law Review and Moot Court Board of Advocates. Mr. Brown also took part in UDM’s criminal trial clinic, where he represented indigent defendants charged with a multitude of misdemeanors in Hamtramck.
Prior to law school, Mr. Brown worked for Medical Alternatives, Inc. in Novi, where he assisted with the daily living of automobile accident victims. Mr. Brown began clerking at the law firm of Elia and Ponto in early 2014 and has been exposed to personal injury cases ever since. After graduation from law school, he passed the Michigan Bar Examination, was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, and began representing injured individuals immediately. Mr. Brown takes pride in the close personal relationships he builds with each client. In his free time, Mr. Brown serves as a basketball coach at his parish, St. Fabian of Farmington Hills, and he is an avid Detroit sports fanatic.
